hurhur got tagged by abs who got tagged by adam to do this on class blog so i shall do it cos tt means i get to tag people!! hahah

1. i genuinely used to think that no one cld ever think of a nickname for me cause i was always the one thinking of nicknames for people. until sec 1 where "trees" came about cause my classmates were too lazy to say my name properly so when they said it quickly, it sounded like "trees". & so it stuck. now i'm so used to being called trees by friends, i dont realise it acty sounds weird. there was once, my friend intro-ed me to her friend as "trees" & her friend went "WHAT?? her name's trees?"

2. i used to bully guys in pri sch! HAHA. GURL POWER!!! then i stopped....dunno why. i think it's cos there were no guys in rg. *evil grins

3. my weakness is anything crunchy (except despair, adam. haha)....like...keropok! i LOVE keropok! but my favourite snacks are still honey stars & ice ( not together tho) . i love to munch on them while watching tv (: yum. i hate jam. yucks pukes. jam is disgustingly sticky & gooo-ey. & peanut butter sucks too cos it's dry & disgusting.

4. i've never watched a single horror movie in my life & i never want to cos firstly, i think i'll get a heart attack & die OR all i'd be seeing throughout the movie wld be my hand in my face. & secondly, i think it's a waste of money, paying yrself to get scared!

5. i hate cats. they are evil- looking & spoilt creatures.

zhiying here again. okay, abt the Halloween party, I'm thinking of replacing it with a gathering sort of thing. You see, my sis is having her birthday party at the CSC on the 11th/12th of Nov and my mum booked one of the tree-house thing things. Normally, we can only bring 4 guests swimming per card we hold at a charge per guest; but I think it's unlimited no. of guests with the treehouse though, but the fee is still included. Damn, that sentence was a little twisty. It's $2 per person but it's a rather nice pool. yep. So a swimming party, methinks? Failing that, the CSC has other stuff there like bowling, pool and k-boxing. I can't vouch for the k-boxing facilities though. The last time me and abby peeked in, it was rather dowdy but we didn't actually go in so yeah. And there are other forms of entertainment there as well. which I've been told not to mention. heh. So yep. Block off your calendars k?

So school's over. Man, it's been a fast year. Fastest year of my life.

I think many people will agree if I say it's been a good year. I'll even step so far out of my terse, cynical shell to say it's been a really good year.

It also isn't even over yet - but the period of communal suffering is past for now. It's time for a long wind-down. Next year, there'll be an even longer wind-up, but there's still time to relax and get a little high.

So i'll see you all during the hols. Probably not all at once, not the same way as in the classroom, but whatever. Thanks for being wonderful.

Details:

Date: 31st Oct (Duh)
Venue: My house
Stuff to do: Trick-or-treating (I don't care if its childish And I don't care if people don't do it, I'm sure they have enough candy lying around to spare. hrummph.), watch some sort of Halloween esque movie, sit around in the dark park and be mosquito fodder? heh. Sorry, I kinda ran out of ideas but I'm sure 28 heads are better than one. :)
Dress code: costumes are welcome but don't feel obliged at all to do them :)

Okay, here's the thing. I don't really wanna stress my parents out too much abt this so I can either just buy snacks (it's Halloween after all, who cares about calories?) or we can do a pot-luck kinda thing. Up to you guys. yups congrats to everyone for surviving lit week and pw written report and chem SPA bahh. which wasn't that bad after all. we shall TRIUMPH! good lucks to everyone for bio SPA.

aud, chucky and i went for chem week quiz which was some bomb, they tested us stuff that we never learnt at all! which is kind of like the point i guess. :S there was negative marking if we got questions wrong, and we could leave anytime we were done or we gave up, whichever came first, so aud suggested we give up and get 0. haha but i believe in perseverance! so i did whatever i could according to logic and common sense (which is not as common as one might think haha) and employed the rules of probability for the rest. might get a negative mark, but whatever haha. (:

good luck to everybody in the other lit half w.r.t. the lit essay that cannot seem to get done. personally, i like to employ a ghost writer i call the Holy Spirit hahah (:

just here to say congrats :D no pw tmr! hahaha. i was just feeling all :(( about having to live through tuesday tmr.. because tuesdays are long and dreary and our break's so late, it's either rush to get food between classes or else endure HCL party in the tummy dur PW. THEN I REALISED THERE'S NO SCH TMR! hahahaha dam lag >< but yayyy :D happy birthday to Singapore.

and yay one SPA down.

i can't believe i was stupid enough not to ask mr tham to watch my 2nd endpoint-thing. =( the first one i dropwise-d all the way for SUPER long, then just ONCE my hand squirts and dam! the thing happily changes colour. Then I didn't dare to ask mrtham to watch my 2nd one, cos I was so afraid the same thing wld happen. but the second time was good!!!!! rawr. but i still got same readings for both. hm. hahaha.

and colour changes are so ambiguous! x.X

oh well overall it wasn't that bad. haha. hope it went well for yall haha.

Wow, it's been an awful week for some of us.

However, I'm happy now to report what's OVER this week.

- Lit week stress + losing voice
- PW report draft!
- extremely stressful gig for hyqel and myself (talk to either of us for epic verbal recountage. it was completely wild, and completely alcohol-induced depraved. I barely got through with my virginity intact.)
- Bio mock SPA! Which did nothing for my lungs.
- Poetry readings during lectures :(

But things are looking up! Thanks on behalf of all the people involved in lit week, for putting up with our dysfunctionalness.

Here are some cool class quotes I noticed along our ~~mundane~~ school lives.. non-verbatim cos my memory sucks =P These cracked me up, hopefully you guys will :D at them too haha. And some of these even prove that I stay awake during class! =P

Hey Adam, I think you feel that way because you love GP and Lit and take alot of pride in your ability at those two subjects? I know I always used to think it was perfectly fine to fail Chinese (because it isn't my mothertongue, anyway, my mother doesn't speak it so there) and Social Studies (which is propaganda!). But I came to realize they were just excuses I gave to um, excuse myself from taking responsibility...

So about bad grades, which most of us have, just let it serve its function which is to be a wake up call to all of us if we have been slacking off in JC... I know I have and I'm trying to fix the problem but it's seriously quite hard. We may be able to make it if we all work together and encourage each other yeah? :)

Mm and I agree with aud. Anyway never use grades as an indicator of your ability or even yourself. Good grades do not mean you're smart and bad grades do not mean you're dumb which is quite obvious but not many people realize it. Also I kind of find it hard to believe that any of us in class are bad at English since a) we do LIT <3 and b) we wouldn't be so punny and lame if we didn't have the complete facility with the English language that we currently possess. :)

BTWBTW who wants to bet that skeletor will totally get owned by some of our parents during PTM. my mum's quite on about it even though my grades aren't that screwed up, so haha.

Haha and it's quite funny how trees tries to cheer adam up with the prospect of promos? It's more of a doom-and-gloom let's-quickly-get-it-over-with for me... 4 As FTW! and most improved class too! we're in the perfect underdog position, we can be the dark horses -- animalistic imagery

This reminds me of our chem joke: SPA Skill B: Students must demonstrate a high level of manipulative skills, e.g. Iago. HEH
